Seeking Most Connected Real Estate Pros

Are you a master at online networking? Are you being ‘followed’ and ‘friended’ by thousands? Make your name known in the real estate industry by telling Proxio just how connected you are.

To find the most connected professionals in real estate, Proxio, the international MLS and global referral network, is inviting industry participants to enter the first annual Proxio Most Visible Professional (MVP) in Real Estate Challenge™. The search is being held with support from Inman News.

At Proxio, we think that success in real estate is all about connections; from brokers and agents to industry consultants, bloggers and writers, being connected is the best way to maximize business. Exactly how much are you using Web 2.0 technology like social and professional networking to get connected? We aim to find out!

The 2009 Top 100 Most Visible Professionals will be featured on Proxio’s international website, and the Top 25 will be recognized in a press release and at a “MVP Mixer,” co-sponsored by Inman News, at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco on August 4, 2009, the evening prior to Real Estate Connect San Francisco 2009. Proxio’s MVP Challenge will run from July 7 until July 24, 2009. Participation is simple; it will take only a few minutes to fill out a quick Zoomerang survey about your usage of social media platforms. Read the rules and find the survey link at www.proxio.com/MVP -- show us how connected you really are!

MVP winners will be announced on July 28, 2009 to real estate industry and business press.

Institute for Luxury Home Marketing Partners with Proxio

10/03/2009 Luxury agents gain world-wide visibility for listings and global networking opportunities through new international MLS

The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing (ILHM) has announced a marketing partnership with Proxio, the international MLS and global referral network designed to give international visibility to property listings and facilitate networking and referrals among real estate professionals around the world.

"Proxio will provide Institute members with an online platform for connecting to agents across the globe who want international exposure for their properties and who wish to create a network of agents for the sharing of referrals," said Institute founder Laurie Moore-Moore. "When Proxio was launched this past spring at the SIMA trade show in Spain, we immediately knew this was a service our luxury home experts could profit from."

According to Janet Case, founder and CEO of Proxio, the new network is based on the idea that the more high-trust relationships you have with agents outside your local marketplace, the more referral opportunities you create and the more referral income you will generate. The Proxio website is both a network of agents and a vehicle for the sharing of property information.

"We see numerous benefits for our members around the world," says Institute President Waco Moore. "Our members will have a competitive advantage in listing presentations when they can talk about international listing exposure. The site automatically translates listings into seven languages, and through the thousands of agents already in the Proxio network in over 60 countries, our members will gain exposure to serious buyer prospects."

"Increasing globalization means clients are buying everywhere-and any agent with a long-term intent to be successful in this new environment needs to reach beyond traditional borders to promote listings, attract foreign buyers, and satisfy clients who want to move to another country," says Case. "We are delighted to help Institute members build referral networks-and trusted relationships-with other Institute members and with agents in other parts of the world. Through Proxio, agents have the ability to control who sees their property information, something which is important to many who work in the most expensive segment of the market where privacy is a concern and in markets where open listings are common."

While Proxio participation is available to all real estate professionals, The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing (ILHM) has negotiated additional features for its members, who can utilize the expanded service at no cost.

Proxio Connects the World to Florida's #1 Real Estate Association

Proxio, the industry's first and only international MLS and purpose-built professional network, ProxioPro™, today announced its partnership with the REALTOR® Association of Miami-Dade County. As a result of partnering with Florida’s #1 Real Estate Association, over 30,000 Miami-Dade County property listings will be loaded into ProxioPro, giving them exposure to other real estate professionals in over 530 agencies across 25 countries and creating new referral opportunities for the association’s 13,000 members.

ProxioPro is the first online professional service to enable real estate agents to easily reach beyond their local markets to share listings and create trusted networks with agencies abroad. By combining an international Multiple Listing Service (MLS) with a rich set of professional networking functions, ProxioPro enables real estate agents to easily find, connect and partner with agents from other countries to globalize their practices and better serve their clients—a distinct competitive advantage.

"The REALTOR Association of Miami-Dade County is excited about its partnership with Proxio.  The ProxioPro network is opening doors for our members, enabling them to connect with a multitude of real estate professionals all over the world, resulting in increased opportunities for everyone,” said Martha Bullman, CEO of the Realtor Association of Miami-Dade County. “Today's Realtor must be accomplished in international business, and having a product that promotes real estate on a global level helps the real estate professionals as well as the customers and clients they serve.”

In addition to exposing Florida listings to other real estate professionals worldwide, which ProxioPro does in 6 languages, Realtors also benefit from detailed agency and agent information, which provides visibility of location, specialties, designations, and languages spoken by the agents who register in the system, which is free to all professionals. This unique feature enables agents to seek and find other agents with specific skills to invite into their referral networks, especially helpful with international transactions.

“Most countries outside of North America lack MLS systems and U.S. MLSs don’t reach abroad, so there is no good means for sharing inventory and referring buyers. Therefore, buyers remain underserved, commissions are lost, and referral fees are foregone,” said Janet Case, CEO and founder of Proxio. “Proxio possesses the heritage and expertise to successfully deliver on the promise of its product offering, ProxioPro™, as the industry’s best answer to the call for increased international exposure and professional networking opportunities. We are thrilled that Miami-Dade Realtors will benefit from this new industry tool and the strong interest Europeans have in Florida.”

Realtors can register with ProxioPro for free at http://www.proxiopro.com. To find out more about how Proxio can help your organization visit www.proxio.com
